Hey Everyone,
Can you believe it? We're just 10 weeks away from the NYC Marathon – the excitement is real! Figured we'd give you a quick update on how our training's been going and what's been happening in our marathon adventure.
Training-wise, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster. We've hit the pavement, explored the trails, and sometimes found ourselves on the couch nursing some minor injuries (who needs toenails, right?). Those setbacks messed with our long run plans, but honestly, we're not sweating it too much. We're all about that "keep going" attitude.
But hey, even with the bumps, we're excited! The NYC Marathon is like this shining beacon on the horizon. We can practically feel the energy of race day – the cheering crowds, the fellow runners, the sweet taste of victory, I mean NYC pizza!
Here's a cool thing: we've locked in our ferry to Staten Island. Yup, we're taking the Team For Kids ferry – all part of joining the awesome folks who run for a cause. Oh, and Maggie's already rocking her Team For Kids singlet. Uncle Kev's is in the mail!
And guess what? We're not just sitting around waiting for the big day. We've got some other races lined up – the Black Goose Half Marathon, the Devils Chase 6.66 miler (funny distance, right?), and the Maine Marathon. It's all about getting prepped and amped.
So, here's the deal. We'll keep you in the loop with weekly updates. The good, the not-so-good, and all the little lessons we're picking up. It's not just about crossing that finish line; it's about every step we take to get there.
Bottom line: 10 weeks to go, and we're riding that mix of excitement and nerves. Stick around for the updates as we tackle the streets of NYC on marathon day! 🏃♀️🏃♂️
